Food Journal Feb 4, 2009
breakfast
- the usual
lunch @ Tanya's
- fettucini w/ chicken & broccoli in cream sauce
- salad w/ apples & walnuts
- bread
- tea
dinner @ I Ching
- "bibim bop" that turned out to be a muddled stir-fry of underseasoned beef, tomatoes, zucchini & egg w/ way too much hot peppers. I'm all for reinterpretations but this was a gross misrepresentation of Korean food. Or food for that matter.
- Susannah's beef lettuce wraps were no better. No distinct flavors other than pepper.
- edamame
- Sofia's soy-butter noodles were the best thing we had that night. Very sad. This kind of watered-down chain "Asian" really pisses me off, both as a Chinese person and as a foodie. I'll sooner go to Arby's than I Ching again.
snacks
- popcorn
- pistachios
- peanuts
