Food Journal May 1, 2009

lunch
  • 7-ingredient ramen
  • stir-fried eggs & chives & spinach (all locally farmed)
  • preserved vegetables
dinner @ Azur
  • pork & lamb soup/stew (very nice hint of spice)
  • a taste of salad (slathered w/ cloying sweet dressing that overwhelmed the bitter greens)
  • seared ahi tuna (the sesame seed crust was a bit pedestrian) w/ Chinese style noodles & shrimp (well done but didn't work as a sauce for the tuna)
  • chocolate fondue (way too heavy as a dessert & votive candle was too weak to keep the chocolate hot)
snacks
  • crackers & goat cheese
